3/8" AR550 STEEL RIMFIRE TARGETS
Our 22LR steel rimfire targets are primary designed for use with .22LR and .17 HMR but can be used with smaller caliber center fire platforms as well as we manufacture them from domestic 3/8″ laser cut AR550 steel. Modern .22LR rifles are capable of incredible accuracy and are great training tools for larger center fire rifles. Whether you are training for a .22 NRL match or just someone with limited distance for a rifle range these .22LR steel targets are great additions to your range.
A great .22LR steel rimfire target that will offer a challenge to all is the .22LR Know Your Limits (KYL) which consist of 8 steel targets ranging from 2″ to 1/4″ and is generally shot at 50 yards, Starting with the 2″ target you proceed to smaller targets only if you are confident you will hit it, cause if you miss you will loose the points earned from previous hits. If shooting it at 50 yards is too easy or you are in need of more of a challenge move it to 100 yds or more and really test your and your equipments ability.
Todays modern 22LR rifles are not the 22s we ran around with as kids shooting squires and such building the life long passion for shooting, these are precision rifles with capabilities far exceeding the 22s of the past. Today there are many reasons why one may want to shoot modern 22LR. It may be that the center fire ammunition has just got too expensive, 22LR can still be shot at a fraction of the cost of a center fire, or range space, not everyone has a 1000 yard rifle range in there back yard but with a 22LR we can shoot “long range” with only 200 to 500 yards (or more). Maybe you have decided you want to give 22NRL a try or use your 22LR as a trainer for your precision rifle matches or teaching a youngster the fundamentals of shooting and firearms safety 22s are very versatile firearms.
