DUELING TREE TARGETS
Our Dueling Tree steel target system is a reactive target made for two shooters, but can also be a challenging and fun training tool for a single shooter. With six 3/8″ x 6″ AR550 steel reactive targets that swing from side to side when shot it allows dueling shooters to shoot all his or her targets to opponents side while opponent tries returning them back . This can be done as a fun competition between friends or an intense training exercise for competitive shooters or Law Enforcement Agency’s. The steel target paddles are generally painted different colors so targets on right side of vertical post are different color than when they are on left side of post.
The vertical post of the dueling tree is easily adjustable, allowing the post to be set at 0 degrees, 10 degrees or 20 degrees forward tilt, giving the user the ability to choose which fits there usage best. Tipping the unit forward will allow gravity to help reset the targets and hold in place till shot again, sending it to the other side of vertical post. Tipping the dueling tree forwards helps reduce getting targets hid behind center post from bad hits. Good hits are important as the impact moves the target to other side, hits on edge or inter part of plate next to center post may not have the applied energy to move target well. The heavy duty 1″ steel pivots are machined from 1″ Cold Rolled Round bar with flats that allow for a surface to bolt the AR550 steel target to, reducing the need for welds and allowing proper geometry for smooth operation. The pivot pins ride in a support that is cut from 3/8″ AR550 steel creating a smooth point of rotation with no sharp corners from square edges spinning through a round hole. The pins are also reversible if by chance they show signs of excessive wear.
