3/8" AR500 STEEL GONGS
Our 3/8″ AR550 Steel Gong Targets are round steel targets generally hung with two chains/straps or other similar method used for magnum handguns and non magnum rifles shooting 3000 f.p.s. velocity and 3500 ft.lb. energy at impact with steel target, it may shoot faster and have more energy at muzzle. To help determine what the ballistics of your ammo check your load data or the box in which your ammunition was purchased in, generally it will state that info. 3/8″ steel gong targets can be also be used as rifle targets for the larger magnum cartridges at extended ranges if placed where the impact energy is less than 3500 ft.lbs.. Our 3/8” gongs are now produced from domestic AR550 which is far more suited for the faster cartridges such as .223 and 5.56 which are in common use in popular AR15 platforms used by civilians, law enforcement and military units around the world. They are available in sizes from 2” to 20” in diameter, the 15” and 20” sizes are popular long range gong targets, the large diameter and thickness really ring when hit. Our AR550 steel gong targets are shipped unpainted allowing you to paint your preference of color or no paint at all.
